The jungle is jumpin’ with a jazzy beat in Disney’s “The Jungle Book” Kids. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, “The Jungle Book” Kids features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin’ musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle. Disney’s“The Jungle Book” Kids has a large, expandable ensemble and many strong, featured roles for good singers. Several roles, including Baloo and King Louie, are great for kids with strong comedic skills. The chorus can be expanded to include various animals, trees, plants, rocks and many other jungle inhabitants. The cast will also have an opportunity to enjoy a pool/cast party if they would like to! Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.”, adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking. Written to flow seamlessly between land and sea, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through creative movement and configurations. The fantasy of being underwater means your entire cast and crew can let their imaginations run wild. The cast will also have an opportunity to enjoy a pool/cast party if they would like to!

The Getting To Know Series: Uniquely adapted musicals specifically for youth performers. The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time. In this adaptation for students, the content has been edited to better suit younger attention spans, but all the elements that make this show a classic are still in place. Everyone will be enchanted by the timeless story and the dazzling score, while at the same time learning about theater and its production.

They will also make new friends and learn the value of team-work. The program will culminate in a full stage production complete with costumes, sets, lights, sound and choreography. Tuition covers costume rental, sets, props, show shirt and cast party.
